Animal Grooming basically refers to hygienic and cleaning of an animal’s physical appearance so that coats are free of dust, dirt, manure and sweat. At night, animals may lie in manure, water or urine contains ground. When this material attaches to skin, it attracts other insects which are a harmful to the animal and winch may carry disease. Sometimes this material contains parasite such as hookworm, which can enter the skin and seriously affect the animal's health. When mud and sweat evaporates on skin of animal, it causes stiffness of hairs. A harness or yoke rubbing against this will pull some of the hair loose and harder clumps of hair will rub against the exposed skin. This results in a burn or raw spot which becomes a wound. These wounds can be fatal. Daily grooming is also very important to make a emotional connection between the owner and animal. This also make easy to handle the animals. Pet animals such as dog, cat etc love to his owner. Loyalty of the dog and horse towards his owner is the result of daily grooming. Goats, sheeps and cattles can sence the touch of his owner.As a result of daily grooming, Gaming animals become familiar to owner's voice, commands and perform as they are commended.By daily grooming wounds, rashes or presence of parasites such as ticks, mugs and lices on the on the skin of animal can be detected and treated timely. So Daily Grooming is very important for animals health and behavior.

If we want to groom an animal we need apparatus such as curry comb and dendy brush. Shape of curry comb is oval . It is made of different metals such as plastic . it is used to loosen the dirt of any type from animals coat. Fuction of brush is to remove the material that is loosened by currying. Procedure for this is that firstly try to fix the animal at a comfortable place because this process can be time taking . Make sure that the animal is comfortable. Place the brush in your left hand and the curry comb in right hand. With the help of right hand and curry comb start the process. Start from the neck of animal or upper region . Move the curry comb in circular manner smoothly and softly. Make sure that use the curry comb in the direction which is in the favour of normal lay of the coat. Moving the brush opposite to normal lay out of the animal can cause pain to the animal . The material which is loosened must be removed by the brush . work from the front side to the backside. Make sure that one side is totally done first, both by curry and comb. Use the comb after currying a small portion of animal. Ustilize water to remove adhesive material .Pick up each hoof observe any stone.if found any stone or manure remove it by using hoof pick. Clean the harness.If sweat or loose hair are found on harness ,it may cause sore on animal body .Using a scraper clean leather on it .After that hold a sponge and using warm water clear the fine particles. Apply vegetable oil on leather once a week to keep it flexible and easily moveable .Always groom the animal before going to work .It is because Grooming the animal before working causes animal to be attentive to utter of its poosessor and his instructions.
